Smashing Pumpkins for Jesus

Speak to me in a language I can hear humour me before I have to go
Deep in thought I forgive everyone
As the cluttered streets greet me once again
I know I cant be late, suppers waiting on the table
Tomorrows just an excuse away
So I pull my collar up and face the cold, on my own
The earth laughs beneath my heavy feet
At the blasphemy in my old jangly walk
Steeple guide me to my heart and home
The sun is out and up and down again
I know Ill make it, love can last forever
Graceful swans of never topple to the earth
And you can make it last, forever you
You can make it last, forever you
And for a moment I lose myself
Wrapped up in the pleasures of the world
Ive journeyed here and there and back again
But in the same old haunts I still find my friends
Mysteries not ready to reveal
Sympathies Im ready to return
Ill make the effort, love can last forever
Graceful swans of never topple to the earth
Tomorrows just an excuse
And you can make it last, forever you
You can make it last, forever you

okay i'm going to break down this song from the smashing pumpkins. its called Thirty-three.
the song is supposedly about Jesus. first off Jesus died at the age of 33.

"speak to me in a language i can hear" prayer

"humour me before i have to go"
that would be judas betraying and lying to him

"deep in thought i forgive everyone
as the cluttered streets greet me once again
i know i can't be late, supper's waiting on the table
tomorrow's just an excuse away"
"the earth laughs beneath my heavy feet
at the blasphemy in my old jangly walk
steeple guide me to my heart and home
the sun is out and up and down again"
this is refering to the last few days he was alive in the Garden of Gethsemane, and facing the mobs of people that rejected him to the cross.

"i know i'll make it, love can last forever"
this is our free agency to choose the right and endure to the end by choosing the right.

"graceful swans of never topple to the earth"
all the miracles that he has and is still performing for us now. they are eternal.

"wrapped up in the pleasures of the world"
this is bad terminology with he word pleasure but i'm sure Billy means that he's thinking about all the good and sacrifice our savior made was worth it.

"i've journeyed here and there and back again"
he understands all

"but in the same old haunts i still find my friends "
we are all united in his name

"mysteries not ready to reveal"
mysteries of heavenly father in all things

"sympathies i'm ready to return"
the second coming.

this has nothing to do with me
